THE SAUDI TOURISM AUTHORITY CONCLUDES DUBAI MEETINGS AS PART OF A GCC ROADSHOW

BRINGING TOGETHER MORE THAN 220 PARTNERS

Dubai – 15 Sep 2022: The Saudi Tourism Authority concluded its business meetings in Dubai, the fourth stop of its roadshow in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, through which the STA and its partners will showcase the tourism opportunities and capabilities Saudi has to offer.

This roadshow goes on with the efforts of the STA to promote Saudi destinations, attract tourists from the region, and support and enable the tourism sector by highlighting opportunities, building partnerships, and signing cooperation agreements.

The STA has invited UAE’s leading tourism and travel companies to participate in the meetings at the Mandarin Oriental Dubai, to l learn more about Saudi tourist destinations and products, and to meet with Saudi tourism market leaders.

Several government entities, such as the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Tourism Development Fund, as well as DMOs and products developers such as The Royal Commission for AlUla, the Jeddah Historic District, Saudi Cruise, and MDL Beast have joined the STA in this roadshow, in addition to the major companies operating in Saudi tourism sector, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators.

More than 220 partners participated in the roadshow engaging in business meetings in which they discussed opportunities for cooperation.

“Saudi is committed to the development of the tourism sector, for the country, the region and globally. Our meetings in Dubai comes off the back of the recent announcement of the Evisa for GCC residents, opening up Saudi, the authentic home of Arabia to new traveler segments and creating a wealth of commercial opportunities for our trade partners,” said Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO and Member of the Board at Saudi Tourism Authority.

“Saudi has always been a favorite destination for Emaratis, and we look forward to working with the leading parties in the tourism and travel industry in Saudi Arabia and UAE, to attract new tourist segments to visit Saudi.” The CEO added.

It is noteworthy that the STA, as part of its GCC roadshow, has held meetings this week in Bahrain, Kuwait and Doha, and will conclude it in Muscat on the 18th.
