Sharjah, Business News:The Health Promotion Department (HPD) at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah successfully concluded on Thursday evening the activities of the 8th “Health and Tourism 2021” campaign.
The closing day of the campaign saw the organization of awareness-raising events and sports and recreational activities at 06 Mall, in the presence of the HPD team and representatives of the participating entities.
The campaign aimed at raising awareness of daily healthy practices and promoting the unique tourist attractions and sites in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Held under the theme “My Immunity” from December 13 to 31, 2021, the campaign witnessed broad participation of community members in the activities and events organized in a number of tourist sites in Sharjah, in addition to the remarkable interaction with the lectures provided by the Department through its social media platforms.
The number of followers of the campaign hashtag “#My Immunity” exceeded 22182 people, while the number of tweets amounted to 30.
The closing day also included awareness competitions presented by the health educator Shatha Al-Omar, during which she shed light on the most important health practices to be followed to enhance the immune system, amid the participation of hundreds of interested community members.
Expressing her pleasure with the success of the campaign, Iman Rashid Saif, Director, HPD, said that this remarkable participation of community members in the campaign activities clearly reflects the importance and success of the campaign and in delivering its messages to raise the public awareness of proper health practices.
She pointed out that this year’s edition focused on formulating innovative activities with important awareness outputs that contribute to promoting health awareness of community members and encourage them to adopt healthy lifestyles that strengthen their immunity and resistance to diseases.
