London, September 10, 2022: From the balcony of St James’s Palace after a historic Accession Council meeting of senior royals, clergy and government King Charles III was officially proclaimed the new British monarch following the demise of his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II who reigned for 70 years on the throne.
